Education
Overview
Temple Beth Shalom is proud to offer a quality religious school in the Northwest Valley. Classes in Hebrew and religion from kindergarten to eighth grade are offered Sundays and Thursdays. Bar/Bat Mitzvah training is available to students with a minimum of two years study of Hebrew.
The Teaching
Our Curriculum, published by the Union for Reform Judaism, is nationally known. Chai Learning for Jewish Life has been proven over time to be highly motivational, providing successful results. Mitkadem is an innovative, self-paced Hebrew prayer and ritual program designed to empower every student to learn Hebrew. Both Chai and Mitkadem programs are supported with a comprehensive system of resources, a network of regional educators, and highly trained teachers. The curriculum, accompanied by the guidance from our rabbi, Rabbi Shelly Moss, and director, Elissa Rose, will result in a quality Jewish education for every student.
Temple membership is required prior to registering a child. Our School Director, Elissa Rose, 623-374-3687, or school@templebethshalomaz.com, can provide more information.
